Salary:

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of up to £33,000.00 per year.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team, to assist with our longstanding reactive and planned maintenance contracts, completing refurbishment programmes and repair jobs across the southwest.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Independent completion of roofing repairs as provided by schedulers on a daily basis.
  • Providing advice based on experience to assist others regarding suitability of materials, timescales, etc.
  • Able to work on both pitched and flat roof systems.
  • Travel to repair sites as and when required.
  • Able to identify the issues and work out a way to fix them.
  • Repairs in occupied and void properties.
  • Responsible for being the face of Steele Davis Limited and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Real-time reporting using PDA to update the status of jobs and inform of any further works required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Skilled and confident in working at heights in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Demonstrable experience with repairing leaking or damaged flat and pitched roofs.
  • Accurate, conscientious, and tidy operative.
  • Health and safety conscious, able to work according to risk assessments in place.
  • Able to use initiative to problem-solve and provide suggestions.
  • Comfortable working under pressure.
  • Confident communicator.
  • Professional, friendly, and well-presented.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • A NVQ level 2 in a complementary trade would be an advantage.
