About the Role

Holy Redeemer Catholic Church is seeking a skilled Music Director to lead our community in worship and music-making. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for recruiting and training volunteer cantors and choristers, leading Masses with a range of musical genres, and collaborating with our clergy and congregation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead SATB choir and congregational singing with creativity and vigor
  • Play the 3 manual Rogers digital organ and Yamaha upright piano with skill and sensitivity
  • Develop and implement music programs for Masses and other worship services
  • Collaborate with clergy and other team members to ensure seamless worship experiences
  • Recruit and train volunteer cantors and choristers to support our music programs

Requirements

  • Strong service playing skills on organ and piano
  • Experience in congregational and choral repertory
  • Previous Catholic experience and vocal experience an asset
  • Creative and collaborative disposition
