Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Bloor Homes, a leading housebuilder in the East Midlands region. As a Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality civil engineering packages across the division.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver civil engineering designs for road and sewer projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Prepare and coordinate detailed Section 38 and Section designs, working closely with approving bodies to resolve engineering issues.
- Prepare and coordinate external levels drawings and private drainage drawings, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Brief and manage the Foundation Design Consultant, ensuring timely and effective delivery of foundation designs.
- Assemble and deliver the civil engineering package, ensuring seamless integration with other project components.
- Obtain Section 38 and Section approvals, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Obtain foundation design approvals, ensuring that designs meet the required standards.
- Complete Section 38 and Section agreements, ensuring that all necessary documentation is in place.
- Discharge engineering-related and building-related issues, ensuring that all project components are completed to a high standard.
- Assist in the discharge of engineering-related planning conditions, ensuring that all necessary approvals are obtained.
- Arrange for Section 38 and Section maintenance inspections and bond releases, ensuring that all project components are properly maintained.
- Experience working for a housebuilder or consultancy, with a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
- Production of engineering designs, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- HNC in Civil Engineering Studies or similar, with a strong understanding of relevant standards and regulations.
- Extensive knowledge of Section 38 and agreements, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context.
- Knowledge and application of Highway Design Standards, Sewers for Adoption, Building Regs Part H & BS, PDS design software, Microdrainage design software, and AutoCAD.
