About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs in a school environment. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils across Key Stages to access their education and reach their potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with SEN requirements, additional needs, or disabilities in the classroom
  • Work with children with autism, cerebral palsy, MLD, SpLD, or other SEN barriers
  • Use communication methods such as PECS, Makaton, or BSL to support pupils
  • Take initiative, be resilient, and drive pupils to achieve and progress
Requirements
  • Qualified Teaching Assistant with experience of children with a disability or SEN
  • Experienced working in school environments
  • Excellent communication skills to hold student attention and focus
  • Promote happiness, self-reliance, and encourage positive interactions
