Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic primary school in the BS34 area. As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the class teacher to deliver engaging, creative, and child-centered learning for children in their early years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children's learning by providing group and one-to-one assistance, encouraging the development of social, emotional, and academic skills in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Monitor children's progress and provide feedback to the class teacher, ensuring every child receives the attention and support they need to thrive.
  • Assist with daily routines, including outdoor play and lunchtime duties, promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a calm and respectful classroom atmosphere.
Essential Criteria
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within an EYFS setting, with a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents, and enhanced DBS check or willingness to apply for one.
