Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead our engineering design team and drive business growth through efficient order fulfillment, regulatory compliance, and knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a small team of contract and standards engineers to design and engineer machines that meet customer needs and company standards.
  • Develop and implement efficient order fulfillment processes to ensure timely project milestones and sold hours are met.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance for all products, including ATEX, EMC, LVD, and CE.
  • Establish the engineering department as the central hub and knowledge centre for all products and engineered parts.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain product ownership, including product costs, lean design, and quality of design and drawings.
  • Provide coaching and training to engineering staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Develop and implement departmental processes to improve efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing an engineering team and driving business growth.
  • Proven track record of managing machinery compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with ability to motivate and inspire the team.
