About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Psychology graduate to join our team as a Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in a school setting and progress their career in education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on a 1:1 basis with students who require additional support
  • Provide general classroom support and help to create a positive learning environment
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, and support the development of students' skills and knowledge
  • Opportunities for progression onto our Future Teachers Programme

Requirements

  • Be able to communicate effectively with other staff and students, monitoring developments and progress
  • Be composed, with the ability to manage challenging behaviour and situations
  • Have transferable skills and a genuine interest in supporting young people with SEMH needs
  • Be able to show a patient and understanding attitude towards all of the students' needs and circumstances
