Company Overview

At Verto People, we are seeking a skilled Electrical Power Engineer to join our team in the South of the UK.

The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical and mechanical engineering generators, with a solid understanding of critical power applications such as LV control panels, electrical distribution, power electronics, and electrical installation.

We offer a competitive salary of £32,000 - £36,000 per annum, with overtime opportunities and a high On Target Earnings potential.

Job Description

  • Carry out service and preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, testing, and repairs on various generators and associated electrical/mechanical critical power equipment.
  • Maintain and service critical power supply equipment and associated electrical equipment, mainly generators in commercial and industrial sites across the South of the UK.
  • Conduct load bank testing, site surveys, inspections, fault finding, repairs, and testing of generator sets and associated generator equipment.
  • Install, commission, service, maintain, diagnose faults to generators and critical power equipment.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.
  • Receive full product training.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Service Engineer, Electrical Engineer, UPS Engineer, Generator Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Service Technician or similar.
  • Field Service background in electrical and/or mechanical engineering generators.
  • Solid understanding and experience within critical power applications.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Flexibility for overtime/part of the on-call rota.
  • Desirable qualifications include BS7671 (18th Edition) Wiring Regulations, ECS/CSCS Card.
  • A technical electrical/mechanical engineering qualification, Apprentice trained, HNC, HND, degree would be advantageous.
