About the Role

We are seeking an experienced M&E Design Manager to join our client's expanding Technical Department in the UK. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing individual schemes and coordinating technical information between external consultants and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess tender returns to ensure MEP package accurately defines scope and design responsibility.
  • Attend pre-order meetings to ensure sub-contract orders are compliant with contract and programme requirements.
  • Provide support for sequencing and programming the installation of MEP services.
  • Monitor MEP procurement and provide support to project delivery teams.
  • Organize and chair MEP workshops to provide technical solutions.
  • Review and coordinate design programmes, information release schedules, and inspection test plans.
  • MEP design coordination with building structure, fabric, and constraints.
  • Review and comment on MEP design, including drawings and technical submittals.
  • Review of energy strategy, including compliance with current regulations.
  • Assist site teams in providing resolution to technical queries.
  • Complete commissioning ability review.
  • Provide technical support during the commissioning process and assist in programming.
  • Assist the commissioning process to ensure compliance with design parameters.
  • Attend witnessing and client demonstrations.
Requirements

A HNC, HND, or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Building Services Engineering is required. Additionally, you will need to have excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and solve problems analytically.
