Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineering Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of Kubernetes &/or OpenShift and the ability to deploy, configure, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes &/or OpenShift clusters.

The ideal candidate will have experience in container orchestration to ensure efficient management and orchestration of containerised applications, including automated deployment, scaling, and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing, defining, and implementing Kubernetes and OpenShift capabilities that enhance DevOps efficiency, delivering innovation, agility, cost optimisation, and faster time to market.
  • Adopting a comprehensive approach to modernising the developer experience, focusing on key dimensions such as organisation and culture, DevOps practices, processes, automation, and tooling.
  • Architecting and designing scalable & resilient cloud infrastructure to ensure seamless deployment, management, and optimisation of containerised applications.
  • Enabling continuous delivery while ensuring reliability, quality, observability, and performance.

Requirements:

To be successfully appointed to this role, you must have a solid understanding of Kubernetes &/or OpenShift and the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience with security best practices including RBAC, image scanning, pod security policies, container security & network policies.
  • Able to collaborate with developers to implement and improve observability and monitoring practices.

Benefits:

As a Cloud Engineering Specialist, you can expect a competitive salary range of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, plus pension and private healthcare benefits.
