We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fire Safety Advisor to join our team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing fire safety risks across the Trust, providing expert advice on fire legislation and guidance, and assisting with the review of fire safety policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Conducting fire risk assessments and reporting on findings
  2. Providing technical advice on fire safety systems and equipment
  3. Assisting with the development and delivery of fire safety training programs
  4. Liaising with stakeholders, including managers, staff, and external partners
  5. Investigating fire-related incidents and fire alarm actuations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety or equivalent
  • Membership of a fire-related association, such as the Institution of Fire Engineers
  • Experience of working in a fire safety or fire engineering environment
  • Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation and guidance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
