We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Technical Lead to join our Front End Development Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of the in-house development team and its projects.

This is a hybrid role, with remote working and some onsite presence in our central Leeds offices. You will have the opportunity to contribute to and drive the development of our mobile applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and security.

About the role

As Mobile Technical Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Working with stakeholders to define the Mobile vision and planning, estimates, and collaboration with the Architecture Team
  • Ensuring coding practices are followed and advocating for best practices
  • Making agnostic architectural decisions that will influence both Android and iOS platforms
  • Staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team
  • Ensuring the security and compliance of mobile applications with banking regulations and standards
  • Mentoring Developers on best practices and all things mobile
  • Working with UI Designers and Product Owners to understand what is possible
  • Identifying ways to reduce Technical Debt and ensuring it is handled in a practical and timely manner
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to ensure the stability and reliability of our mobile applications

About you

You will have a proven track record as a Mobile Tech Lead or be ready for that next step up to the role. You'll be eager to do the right things but balance business objectives and delivery needs. You will have knowledge of both platforms (Android and iOS) and experience with mobile security best practices and secure coding standards.
