About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maths Education Specialist to join our team of tutors. As a Maths Education Specialist, you will be responsible for providing one-to-one and small group tuition to learners in their own homes or schools.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for maths education and a commitment to helping learners achieve their full potential. You will need to be able to create engaging lesson plans and deliver tuition that is tailored to the needs of each learner.

You will work closely with learners, their guardians, and teachers to ensure that they receive the support they need to succeed. This is a rewarding role that requires a high level of organisation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create lesson plans and deliver tuition that is designed to engage and inspire learners.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with learners, guardians, and teachers to ensure academic success.
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and learner performance.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a Bachelor's level degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 6 months UK teaching/tutoring experience.
  • Must live and be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Must be willing to undertake a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and referencing process.
  • A commitment to safeguarding.
  • Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and other complex needs.
