About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Services Design Manager to join our team at Hoare Lea. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for managing a team of mechanical, electrical, and public health engineers to develop building services designs to BSRIA stages 4a-4c level of output.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of engineers to develop building services designs
  • Collaborate with clients and other professionals to foster good relationships and create future opportunities
  • Attend interviews and contribute to bid preparation
  • Define and agree brief with clients
  • Have a good knowledge of construction procurement and associated risks to the business

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced pro-active building services design manager with a strong technical knowledge in primary engineering discipline (mechanical ideal) and work to relevant and applicable regulations, design guides, etc.

Key Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in the production and delivery of stage 4 detailed design directly working for a MEP installer
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations in a non-adversarial manner
  • Strong technical knowledge in primary engineering discipline (mechanical ideal)
  • Good understanding of other disciplines
  • IT literate with a technical understanding of relevant IT packages
