Apprentice in Aerospace Manufacturing

This 4-year apprenticeship program offers a comprehensive training experience, with three separate roles: Fitter and Machinist. As an apprentice, you will work in confined spaces and at heights, developing skills in drilling, reaming, countersinking, riveting, and bolting. You will also learn to operate CNC milling machine tools.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Fitter: Assist in the assembly of aircraft components and sub-assemblies on final assembly lines. Operate automated/robotic drilling equipment and perform functional testing of mechanical systems.
  • Machinist: Work in our Integrated Machining Facility to manufacture small and large components from various materials. Operate CNC milling machine tools, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and conventional/digital measuring equipment.
