About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Apprentice Coach and Skills Development Specialist to join our Early Careers team at BAE Systems. As an Apprentice Coach, you will play a critical role in the assessment and development of our apprentices, providing expert guidance and support to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment practices that engage and inspire learners to develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviors required for success.
  • Assess and monitor learner progress and performance in line with standards and legislative requirements to ensure occupational competence.
  • Coach employees and learners to reach their full potential by providing key support, mentoring, challenge, and motivation throughout their learning journey.
  • Develop learners who are innovative thinkers and creative problem solvers, through designing and delivering learning content as part of a blended learning pedagogy focused on delivering vocational excellence.

Essential Requirements:

  • Effective coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Proven and effective people skills specifically when dealing with welfare, support, and safeguarding issues.
  • Mechanical Fitter qualified.

Desirable Requirements:

  • A1/Assessor qualification.
  • Submarines experience.
  • Good IT skills.
