Driver/Installation Specialist

We are collaborating with a Local Authority in Cardiff to appoint a specialist to assist with the appointment of a Driver/Installer, on a short-term contract. Please submit your CV for consideration.


Remuneration: £12.38- £15.48 per hour


Key Responsibilities:


To collect, transport and install equipment designed to assist individuals with disabilities to/from residents' homes and various locations in the City of Cardiff


Responsibilities:



  • To collect used equipment (e.g. Hoists, beds, shower chairs etc.) from clients' homes, Hospital departments, GP clinics etc.
  • To deliver and install equipment into residential properties throughout the City of Cardiff.
  • To transfer equipment between the two warehouses in Cardiff. To transfer equipment from either of the main warehouses to various satellite stores throughout the City.
  • To store used equipment in a dedicated storage area until it is collected by a dedicated cleaning/refurbishment contractor.
  • To work as part of a two-person team when undertaking more physically demanding delivery/collections.

Requirements:


Understanding of safe manual handling principles.


Experience:



  • Multi-drop deliveries.

  • Availability is required to start immediately or at short notice.
  • Right to work in the U.K is required.
  • An enhanced DBS is required for this role.
