Arboriculture Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Estate Worker/Arborist to join our team at Northumberland Estates. As an essential member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of tasks to ensure the upkeep of our estate.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in arboriculture, with experience in operating chainsaws, chippers, and other arboricultural equipment. You will also possess excellent knowledge of gardening and tree care.

In addition to your technical skills, you will be required to work collaboratively with the Gardens Team on general gardening operations and maintain a range of grass and turf types.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carry out general estate maintenance tasks, including fencing, strimming, and pesticide application.
2. Perform arboricultural activities, such as aerial works, chipping, and groundworks.
3. Maintain grass and turf, including hay meadows, parkland, flower meadows, and fine lawns.
4. Assist with routine machinery maintenance.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified and experienced in arboriculture.
• Hold a full UK driving license.
• Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings.
