About the Position

The Lead Health and Safety Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting corporate social initiatives and overseeing infrastructure and facilities activities at Stirling Q&R. This key position is responsible for ensuring the safety and functionality of all facilities, while driving corporate social responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Conducting regular safety inspections across all facilities to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  2. Liaising with contractors and vendors to ensure seamless maintenance and improvement projects
  3. Coordinating maintenance work to minimize disruptions, ensuring efficient operations and optimal use of resources
  4. Maintaining accurate records of all facilities-related activities and inspections to inform strategic decision-making
  5. Supervising facilities staff, providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices
  6. Supporting corporate social responsibility initiatives as they relate to facilities and safety, contributing to the company's commitment to ESG and sustainability
  7. Developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  8. Managing the facilities maintenance and improvement budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and optimal return on investment

To be successful in this role, you will require:

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Facilities Management, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior health and safety or facilities management role, with a proven track record of success
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices, with a strong understanding of industry trends and developments
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff to achieve optimal results
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes and meeting deadlines
  • Proficiency in facilities management software and the Microsoft Office suite, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies

Additional qualifications, such as a Master's degree or professional certifications, are highly desirable and may be advantageous in securing this role.
