Job Description

Manpower is seeking a highly skilled Process and Project Engineer to join our team at Unilever, a leading global Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company. As a Process and Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in the implementation of engineering projects within the Sourcing Units, ensuring the design, installation, and commissioning of process plant and equipment meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation of engineering projects, including design, installation, and commissioning of process plant and equipment.
  • Prepare equipment schedules, cost schedules, and project documentation to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Install, test, and commission plant equipment related to engineering projects, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Conduct technical surveys and feasibility studies to inform project decisions and ensure optimal project outcomes.
  • Create scope documents to ensure equipment design and installation meet the required standards.
  • Work closely with Process designers to ensure plant and process design meets the company's standards.
  • Manage contractors, reviewing risk assessments and method statements, signing permits for work to start, conducting audits during the works, and signing off on completion.
  • Manage civil aspects of plant installation, including ground works for new vessel installations.
  • Provide stakeholder updates for projects, ensuring timely and effective communication.
Requirements:
  • Hygienic plant and process design expertise.
  • Experience in managing the design and installation of plant equipment, including tanks, pumps, heat exchangers, pipework, valves, and manifolds.
  • Ability to understand process P&IDs and plant flow layouts.
  • Chemical engineering background or relevant experience in process projects.
  • Project management qualification or relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
