About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Calculation Lead and Manager to join our team at Mercer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex actuarial calculations, providing technical expertise and support to our UK Retirement market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage complex actuarial calculations, ensuring high-quality results and timely delivery.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to our UK Retirement market, including checking and reviewing technical actuarial calculations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and clients, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the development of knowledge sharing and training initiatives, enhancing the skills and expertise of our team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and trends, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and innovation.
What You'll Need
  • Qualified or part-qualified actuary with a strong understanding of UK Defined Benefit pension schemes.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and critical thinking skills, with a good understanding of actuarial approaches for pensions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Experience working in a similar role within an actuarial team, with a focus on technical aspects and solid exposure to consultants and broader client support teams.
