Home Care Assistant

As a Home Care Assistant in East Riding of Yorkshire Council, you will be responsible for providing support to an individual with a learning disability, cerebral palsy, and mobility issues. The successful candidate will work every Monday to Friday from 7am to 9:30am, providing personal care and assisting the individual with daily tasks. Casual cover roles are also available for holidays and sickness as and when required, including working Monday to Sunday from 7am to 9:30am at £13.00 per hour, Monday to Friday from 4:30pm to 9:30pm at £13.00 per hour, Saturdays from 1:30pm to 9:30pm at £13.00 per hour, and Sundays from 2:30pm to 9:30pm at £13.00 per hour.
You will require patience, caring, friendly, and trustworthy qualities, with experience working with people with a learning disability being an advantage. A genuine occupational requirement for a female worker exists due to privacy and decency under the Equality Act 2010. Having a car driver's license is desirable but not essential as a car is available. DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post, which will be met by the local authority.
