Poetry Facilitator

We are seeking a dedicated Poetry Facilitator to help facilitate our poetry group at Birch Lane. Your role will involve promoting the group to residents, encouraging attendance, and setting up the room for sessions.

As a Poetry Facilitator, you will be responsible for choosing poems for the group, reading them aloud, and leading discussions. You will also need to be comfortable using IT equipment, navigating the internet, and connecting speakers.

Key Responsibilities:
• Promote the poetry group to residents
• Choose poems for the group in collaboration with residents
• Read poems aloud and lead discussions
• Set up equipment for sessions and move tables and chairs if necessary
• Prepare refreshments for the group
• Display a friendly demeanor while respecting Creative Support policies on boundaries and safeguarding
