We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant at a highly successful school in Southend-On-Sea.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide support for pupils, promoting their welfare and safeguarding their well-being. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and wants to make a positive impact on young lives.

Responsibilities
  • Promote the welfare of children and support the school in safeguarding children by following relevant policies and procedures.
  • Support the teaching staff in delivering high-quality education to students with special educational needs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Experience in supporting children or young adults with SEND needs is desirable but not essential.
  • Able to stay calm and de-escalate challenging behaviour.
  • Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
  • Available 5 days a week.
