SEN Teaching Assistant Job Opportunity

Parker Smith Inclusion is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a brilliant SEND school in London. The school's ethos focuses on nurturing to challenge and inspire children to achieve their full potential.

About the Role

We are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant who can provide exceptional support to one of our classroom teachers. The ideal candidate will be kind, patient, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure all students feel important and listened to.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Class teacher with planning and assessing the class
  • Lead the class on occasion if the Teacher is absent
  • Work with smaller groups or individuals to develop their communication skills and confidence
  • Manage behaviour in class and plan activities in line with class lessons
  • Be flexible and adapt to the needs of the students and the school

The school has recently undergone a transformation and boasts a brand new purpose-built building. They are one of the largest SEND schools in the country, with state-of-the-art lesson rooms and excellent facilities. The school's Therapy Dog is a wonderful asset, providing a sense of calm and wellbeing to everyone.
