Join our team as a Fraud Prevention Specialist at Nationwide, where you'll play a vital role in preventing and detecting fraud and scams across our portfolio.

This exciting opportunity will allow you to collaborate with stakeholders across the business to ensure our fraud detection is of a high standard. You'll work on developing new rules and monitoring existing ones to optimise fraud prevention systems.

We offer a flexible working arrangement, allowing you to balance your time between home and office. This approach enables more rewarding relationships and supports generous access to home working.

As a Fraud Prevention Specialist, you'll spend at least two days per week at one of our offices. Alternatively, if part-time, you'll spend 40% of your working time at an office location. Learn more about our hybrid working approach here.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Developing rule sets to identify fraud and mitigate financial loss
  • Analysing fraud detection performance using data analysis skills
  • Delivering solutions for improving individual rules

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience in coding languages (e.g., SQL, SAS, Python)
  • Strong knowledge of Excel for analysis (e.g., pivot tables, VLookups)
  • A logical approach to problem-solving and confidence in making recommendations
  • Effective communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite
