The ideal candidate will be expected to generate new business opportunities in the photonics industry, including lead qualification and solution development. Activities will involve frequent communication with customers, contract negotiation, and coordination of design and manufacturing resources for custom solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice and support to international customers, focusing on pre-sale enquiries and technical support.
- Leverage industry expertise and strong customer relationships to identify additional business opportunities as existing customers' needs grow.
- Identify new markets and industries for Thorlabs to support.
- Manage the sales pipeline within CRM, from qualification to close.
- Provide market feedback to R&D and Marketing Communication groups.
- Present equipment demonstrations and interact with customers at conferences and trade fairs.
- Visit customers alongside the outside sales team to provide technical expertise when required.

Requirements
- First-hand experience with optical setups, laboratory environments, or photonics equipment is essential.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
