Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer

Evan Craig is seeking a highly skilled Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their Geosciences team in Hemel Hempstead. As a leading site investigation, contaminated land, and geotechnical consultancy, they provide services to various clients across the UK.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering consultancy and design services to external clients, including engineers, house-builders, oil companies, and local authorities. They will work closely with the Geosciences team to design and manage geo-environmental and geotechnical ground investigation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and manage geo-environmental and geotechnical ground investigation projects for external clients and internal teams.
  2. Conduct soil and rock logging to current geotechnical standards, including laboratory scheduling.
  3. Prepare health and safety plans and risk assessments.
  4. Develop remediation strategies, including verification works on site.
  5. Establish and develop strong working relationships with clients to drive business growth.
  6. Provide technical leadership in project delivery.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Desirable: further degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnics, or Environmental Science.
  3. Registered with a professional body and working towards Chartered status.
  4. Significant experience in geotechnical and geo-environmental investigations and reporting.
  5. Demonstrable background in preparing geotechnical and geo-environmental preliminary reports.
