Job Title: Swimming Instructor - Active Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Swimming Instructor to join our team at WV Active in Wolverhampton. As a Swimming Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons to our members, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver swimming lessons to designated groups, adhering to agreed standards and policies.
  • Ensure classes commence on time and manage late arrivals effectively.
  • Verify that group members have paid the required fees prior to the class.
  • Assist the Aquatics Leader in programming courses and promoting recognised swimming awards.
  • Discharge health and safety responsibilities and report any issues to the Duty Officer.
  • Review and adhere to Normal Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Plan.
  • Administer first aid as needed and report accidents to the Duty Officer.
  • Manage equipment inspections and maintenance.
  • Provide feedback to class members and guardians.
  • Deal with customer queries and complaints, referring to the Duty Officer when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Relevant qualifications in swimming instruction
