About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Turbine Engineer to join our Engineering Team at Sembcorp Industries Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting daily engineering breakdown issues and leading turbine outage events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support daily engineering breakdown issues and lead turbine outage events
  • Work closely with Operations, Inspection, SHE, Performance, and Maintenance functions to develop and maintain clear 5 & 10 year asset plans
  • Ensure legal compliance at all times
  • Support and sustain operation across all assets through Planned Maintenance Optimisation and Asset Tactics
  • Initiate, lead, and deliver projects and solutions to meet strategic objectives
  • Drive assets to achieve the "Best Available Technology" through emerging technologies and methodologies
  • Ensure compliance to relevant engineering standards and quality assurance/control
  • Provide technical advice, guidance, and support to Projects, Maintenance, and Operations functions
  • Ensure up-to-date and complete Technical Library, asset criticality study, critical spares holding, 10-year plan, planned maintenance schedule, and inspection program
  • Work with Maintenance and Planning Manager to prioritise and schedule work to maximise efficiencies and ensure legal compliance
  • Provide out-of-hours support to project, maintenance, and operations departments as required
  • Work with Outage Team to ensure mechanical specifications and work scopes are completed in line with gated process timescales
Requirements
  • Degree Qualified (BEng Mechanical Engineering preferred)
  • Experience of engineering and equipment maintenance in the plant area or similar operation
  • IT skills (use of Outlook, Maximo, spreadsheets, word processing, Microsoft Project etc.)
  • Up-to-date with best practice maintenance and engineering techniques
  • Excellent awareness and implementation of SHE requirements
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of cost control and contractor management
  • Good report writing, communication, and meeting skills
  • An understanding of large-scale Industrial Boiler Systems would be advantageous
