Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Apprentice Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high voltage power conversion products and associated equipment.

Your primary focus will be on liaising with customers to agree unit specifications and designing high voltage power conversion products and associated equipment to meet those specifications. You will also be responsible for investigating and researching new design techniques to improve product stability, reduce noise, and enhance polarity reversing capabilities.

In addition to your design responsibilities, you will be required to accurately document your designs to enable full manufacturing packages to be created or amended. You will also be responsible for confirming that developed designs meet their requirements through testing and/or simulation and calculation.

As a Design Engineer, you will be expected to work closely with our manufacturing and testing teams to ensure that designs are cost-effective, designed for manufacture and test, and compliant with all current legal and regulatory requirements.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of up-to-date components, technology, and manufacturing techniques. You should also have experience with UC design, particularly with respect to analogue control/systems, and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
