We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner to join our well-respected planning service in Newark and Sherwood District Council. As a Senior Planning Officer, you will be responsible for providing guidance to planners, trainees, and technical support colleagues while managing a caseload of complex development proposals.
The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Planning or a relevant subject area and Chartered Membership of the RTPI or equivalent body. They will also need regular access to a vehicle to enable them to travel within and outside the district to carry out their duties.
In this role, you will work closely with a professional, committed, and experienced team who are passionate about supporting us to deliver the objectives outlined in our Community Plan. You will be responsible for delivering a top-notch planning service, promoting growth alongside securing quality development and communication.
The salary for this position is £**£53,000 per annum**, and we offer a range of benefits, including enrolment in the career average local government pension scheme, hybrid working, generous annual leave entitlement, one day paid volunteering leave, funded health cash plan, free car parking, and gym membership.
