Job Title: Bartender

The Lansdowne Club, a prestigious private members club in Mayfair, London, is seeking a skilled Bartender to join its team. As a key member of the Food and Beverage team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our discerning members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance at all times.
  • Ensure the bar area is tidy, stocked, and equipped for smooth service.
  • Prepare all necessary mise en place in the bar.
  • Stay up-to-date with menus, wine lists, and vintages available.
  • Anticipate and cater to members' special requests and preferences.
  • Float between bar areas, offering suggestions and serving drinks with a smile.
  • Keep the bar area neat and tidy, refreshing nibbles and offering new drinks as needed.
  • Promote the club's events and dining experiences.
  • Entertain members with knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and more.
  • Ensure accurate charging and maintain a focus on table maintenance.
  • Assist other sections of the bar when busy.
  • Prepare hot drinks for the bar area.
Requirements:
  • Excellent spoken English and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of serving standards and maintaining those standards during every service.
  • Knowledge of the bar cocktail list, off-list cocktails, and menus served.
  • Understanding of wines, grapes, and wine-growing regions.
  • Ability to deal with members' requests in a professional manner.
  • Flexibility with shift patterns and ability to work under pressure.
