Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Learning Mentor to join our team at Clarus Education Ltd. As an Academic Learning Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students across various subjects and age groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide academic support to students in a variety of subjects, including covering classes for absent teachers and delivering group booster sessions.
  • Develop and implement interventions for students with special educational needs (SEN) and English as an Additional Language (EAL).
  • Assist with lunchtime and after-school clubs, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure seamless support for students.
  • Utilize effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Requirements
  • Hold a 1st class or 2:1 degree in a relevant field, with A*-B grades at A Levels and GCSEs.
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to manage challenging behavior and maintain a calm, professional demeanor.
  • Commitment to the needs of the role and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
