We are seeking a skilled Portuguese Examiner to join our team in marking GCSE exams. As a key member of our assessment team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our examination processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching or assessing Portuguese, with a minimum of 5 months' part-time teaching experience within the last 10 years. Alternatively, you may have assessment experience with a recognized UK exam board within the last 5 years. A degree or equivalent qualification is also required.

As a Portuguese Examiner, your primary responsibility will be to mark candidates' responses accurately and consistently, adhering to our pre-defined mark scheme and examination procedures. You will work independently, marking scripts on ePEN or traditional paper scripts, depending on the subject area. Your attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines are essential in maintaining overall standards.

In addition to marking responsibilities, you will be expected to submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times and adhere to milestones for marking. Good administration skills are also necessary to complete tasks as specified.

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, dependent on experience

This is a temporary position, typically running from May to July, with training provided in advance. The successful candidate will have a high level of subject knowledge and the ability to work well under pressure, meeting deadlines and maintaining a high standard of work.
