Tax Manager

TPF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our client's advisory team. As a Tax Manager, you will play a key role in providing tax advisory services to clients in the entertainment sector.
Responsibilities- Liaising with HMRC: You will be responsible for liaising with HMRC in respect of clearance applications, enquiries, and other matters.
- Tax Advisory Services: You will draft reports and letters of advice for various tax advisory issues, including corporate reconstructions, investor relief schemes, and staff incentive schemes.
- Calculations and Advice: You will prepare calculations to support your advice and provide guidance to clients on tax-related matters.
- Client Liaison: You will liaise with clients and attend meetings with other team members to discuss tax-related matters.
- Training and Review: You will train and review the work of more junior members of staff to ensure they are providing high-quality tax advisory services.
- Support to Directors and Partners: You will provide support to Directors and Partners in the Tax Advisory Group on tax-related matters.
- Corporate Tax Services: You will assist the team with advice and implementation of corporate reconstructions, investor relief schemes, and staff incentive schemes.
- Remuneration Planning: You will advise owner-managed businesses on remuneration planning and succession planning.
- Tax Returns and Claims: You will prepare research and development claims, VAT returns, and SDLT returns.
- Individual Tax Services: You will advise individuals on IHT planning and CGT mitigation.
- Corporate Tax Computations: You will review corporate tax computations and returns.
- Qualifications: You must be CTA qualified or AAT or ACA/ACCA qualified and keen to study towards CTA.
- Experience: You must have experience with corporate taxes and experience in other areas of tax will be beneficial.
- Skills: You must have strong verbal and written communication skills, good IT skills, excellent teamwork and organisational skills, and strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Interest in Tax: You must have a keen interest in learning and developing tax knowledge.
