As a Principal Procurement Manager, you will drive, implement, and execute Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, and Supplier Relationship Management for a complex group of categories. Your goal will be to leverage and secure the supplier base to support current and future business requirements while mitigating risks.
The Principal Category Manager is accountable for the end-to-end category performance for the category group and for driving and managing multimillion-pound procurements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Category Management strategies to drive cost savings and improve supplier relationships.
- Manage the procurement process for complex categories, including multimillion-pound procurements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Asset management knowledge and experience.
- Portfolio planning skills.
- Experience working in a Public Sector Commercial Team and managing the procurement process.
