About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Support Worker to join our team at Vetro Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to young people to promote their independence and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the young people, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of their care plans, guidelines, and preferred methods of communication.
  • Support young people in participating in activities and taking responsibility for their own lives, depending on their age and needs.
  • Provide a therapeutic care environment, encouraging young people to develop socially, emotionally, and behaviorally.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Children's Support Worker, working with young people or other social care experience is desirable.
  • You must be a car driver, as you will be required to transport young people from time to time.
  • You must be over the age of 22.
  • NVQ or QCF level 3 in Children & Young People is desirable.
