Historic Environment Scotland is a leading heritage organisation that works to preserve and protect Scotland's rich cultural heritage. As a Castle Guide, you will play a key role in delivering our mission to inspire people to care about Scotland's past.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate about sharing knowledge about Scotland's history. You should be able to communicate effectively with visitors from diverse backgrounds and have a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should be able to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions to problems, as well as being flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

In terms of qualifications, you should have a good understanding of Scottish history, particularly in relation to the castle's role in Scotland's past. A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject such as history, archaeology, or museum studies would be an advantage.
