We are currently seeking an experienced Inspection Engineer to join our team in the North West Region. As a Senior Pressure Equipment Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe operation of pressure equipment and systems.
Competitive SalaryThe salary for this position is £45,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
About the RoleAs a Senior Pressure Equipment Inspector, your primary responsibility will be to prepare and review Written Schemes of Examination (WSE) for pressure equipment, identifying preparation requirements and coordinating Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) providers as needed.
You will also be responsible for:
- Undertaking simple NDT techniques, including ultrasonic thickness checks, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant tests;
- Coordinating NDT providers for extensive or specialist methods;
- Preparing clear reports, including photographs;
- Assessing deterioration and reviewing design calculations;
- Sentencing defects and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A HNC/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
- A UKAS RG21 CAT 2 Certificate;
- At least 5 years' experience in a related field, including at least 1 year with an Engineering Discipline with In-service Inspection of Pressure Systems;
- Incorporated Engineer status is desirable.
