Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated nursing professional to join our team as an Advanced Practice Nurse for Upper GI Cancer at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

As an Advanced Practice Nurse, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with Upper GI cancer, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and improve patient outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage patients with Upper GI cancer, providing comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and improve patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs, using evidence-based practice and expertise in Upper GI cancer care.
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and healthcare professionals to promote best practice and improve patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvements and quality initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated nursing professional with:

  • Registration with the NMC and a degree in a related field.
  • Substantial post-registration experience in Upper GI cancer care.
  • Proven expertise in assessment, care planning, and management of patients with Upper GI cancer.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing workload effectively.
