The Opportunity

Achieve excellence in maintenance and engineering leadership with Arla Foods.

As a seasoned engineering leader, you will drive strategic maintenance and engineering practices across our production site.

Lead a team of experienced engineers and develop a comprehensive M&E roadmap to ensure reliability and capability as the site grows.

Collaborate with UK peers to implement world-class maintenance and engineering practices, leveraging the Arla Performance System and industry-specific knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the site M&E department, driving continuous improvement and lean/safety/quality/food safety/sustainability/digital practices.
  • Develop and implement the M&E roadmap, working closely with Operations on Operator Asset Care (OAC) improvement and expansion.
  • Manage maintenance activities using the Arla-specific CMMS and OEE, analyzing data to optimize equipment maintenance strategies.
  • Work within the framework set by corporate finance, responsible for targets and forecasting of budgets, and accountable for the effective control and deployment of an annual maintenance budget.
  • Deliver technical input and budget proposals to CAPEX applications, ensuring new equipment meets relevant legislation and Arla Foods standards.
  • Ensure execution of approved simple/small CAPEX projects within budgets and support ongoing major capex investment.

Requirements

  • A robust understanding of M&E within an automated fast-moving manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding and experience working with M&E safety & compliance.
  • Proven M&E focussed continuous improvement experience (TPM, WCM methodology preferred).
  • Strong leadership experience with a focus on people development, having managed a M&E department with c30 engineers.
  • An appetite for creating positive change and experience in culture-led change management.
  • Capable of demonstrating and leading with a true sense of urgency to meet business needs.
