Quality Systems Engineer

The Westinghouse UK Fuel Growth Program is a critical component of the company's long-term strategy, and this role plays a vital part in ensuring its success. As a Quality Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with relevant procedures and QA arrangements.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure the effectiveness of the quality management system.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Support the development of the Site Audit Programme and lead/participate in inspections/audits.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational capability requirements, including nuclear baselines and management of organizational change.
  • Provide advice and support to records management activities and prepare summary reports/metrics for EHS&Q Forum and Management Systems Meetings.
Requirements:
  • HNC in a technical discipline or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a quality-related role.
  • Professional certifications: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (or willingness to complete), ISO 14001 Lead Auditor (or willingness to complete), ISO 45001 Lead Auditor (or willingness to complete).
  • Membership of an appropriate professional membership is desirable.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to develop relationships and maintain effective networks.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in auditing or surveillance, awareness of site license requirements, and knowledge of quality management standards and guidelines.
