We are looking for a talented and experienced finance professional to join our team as a Finance Assistant, supporting effective financial, procurement, and risk management services for Transport for the North (TfN).

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and executing finance, procurement, and risk processes, as well as providing expert guidance on financial and procurement policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in implementing and executing finance, procurement, and risk processes.
  2. Act as a point of contact for specialist queries, providing expert guidance on financial and procurement policies and procedures.
  3. Support financial planning and analysis, contributing to the development and maintenance of reporting systems and mechanisms.
  4. Deliver financial, procurement, and risk management support to internal teams.
  5. Collaborate with project and programme teams, supporting complex business case development through financial insight and analysis.
  6. Provide clear communication of complex financial information to non-technical audiences.
  7. Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all financial reporting.

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum.
