Business Analyst/Project Manager - Risk Technology

Millennium Management, a leading global hedge fund, is seeking a skilled Business Analyst/Project Manager to join its Risk Technology team. As a key member of this team, you will play a critical role in building the next generation Risk Platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand business requirements and develop comprehensive documentation.
  • Work closely with Portfolio and Risk Managers to synthesize requirements into logical development tasks and translate them into specifications for developers.
  • Develop and maintain business requirements across risk reporting, including the distillation of reports into common components.
  • Create a Business Requirements Document (BRD) featuring tech deliverables based on common components mapped to user requirements.
  • Enforce project governance and ensure consistent communication with stakeholders.
  • Assist development teams by resolving implementation questions through consultation with risk analysts.
  • Define and template appropriate test strategies and test cases required to detect issues with changes.
  • Assist with the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and testing of changes.
  • Communicate and coordinate production releases.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • Substantial relevant experience in business analysis or product development, interfacing with business users and technologists.
  • Previous experience facing off to Market Risk stakeholders and an understanding of risk concepts is preferable.
  • Ability to perform in-depth analysis of risk reports and synthesize common data components, leveraging relevant experience in finance.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database tools. Additional data analysis skills are an advantage, including the ability to step through code.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Visio or other Flow Charting system to create detailed workflows.
  • Experience coordinating projects through the development lifecycle.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with an independent/self-starter work ethic.
