Job Title: Senior Planner

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum depending on experience.

Job Description:
This challenging role involves working on large-scale residential developments in London as a Senior Planner. Your key responsibilities will include developing project master programmes, managing interfaces between trade packages, and identifying potential schedule impacts. Your expertise will ensure the successful delivery of these complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a detailed project schedule covering all phases of the project.
  • Regularly update the project schedule from initiation to completion.
  • Review and comment on potential schedule impacts due to trade contractor performance, client modifications, consultant design changes, logistics issues, etc.
  • Perform planning studies and assignments as requested by senior project managers or planning directors.
  • Determine project manpower requirements on an ongoing basis.
  • Define, monitor, and report on interfaces between trade packages.
  • Provide planning information required for project monthly reports, any other internal/external reports, and any special assignments or tasks as required by the Planning Director or Senior Project Manager.
  • Ensure that the planning function is performed in line with planning procedures, instructions, and reporting formats.
  • Discharge responsibilities for Health and Safety as set out both in respect of the package and integration of the overall project.

Requirements:
  • A technical qualification within architecture, engineering, or building, together with a relevant professional qualification.
  • Planning experience within fast-track multi-phased construction is essential.
  • Knowledge and understanding of architectural and services trades and their relationship and integration into the building whole.
  • Experience in residential fit out and commissioning works is essential.
  • It is essential that the post holder is fully familiar with modern planning techniques and proficient in the use of Planning Software.
  • An understanding of Construction Management philosophy and procurement process is essential.
  • The post holder must be able to demonstrate self-management, initiative, and an ability to think analytically.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and organisation skills are essential.
  • It is essential that the post holder be a Team Player who can add value to the management process and encourage, co-ordinate and articulate the contributions of all members.
