CAD Designer

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to contribute to our clients dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer-aided design (CAD), with experience in SolidWorks being highly beneficial.

• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications using CAD software, with a preference for those proficient in SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with engineers to understand project requirements and convert conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings.
• Utilise AutoCAD to produce 2D drawings for project plans.
• Ensure all CAD designs comply with company standards and relevant industry regulations.
• Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of drafting standards, engineering practices, and new developments in SolidWorks and other CAD software.
• Assist in the preparation of documentation, reports, and plans as required for project submission and approval.
• Generate high quality technical reports, both intercompany and customer facing.

• Proven experience as a CAD Technician, with demonstrated proficiency in SolidWorks highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and design practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with other CAD software and technology is a plus.
