Animal Welfare Apprentice

At HAR Labcorp Early Development Laboratories Limited, we are committed to delivering high-quality scientific research and development. We are seeking an Animal Welfare Apprentice to join our team in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

The Role:

As an Animal Welfare Apprentice, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day care of various animal species. Your responsibilities will include providing assistance with animal care, cleaning and disinfecting animal enclosures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide animal care and support, including feeding, watering, and environmental enrichment.
  • Clean and disinfect animal enclosures, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Animal Welfare, GLP, and Health & Safety.
  • Collect and record data, using manual or computerized methods.
  • Handle animals humanely and safely, according to species-specific guidelines.
  • Exercise and socialize animals, as required.
  • Provide animals with food, water, and environmental enrichment, according to company standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the animal care team to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
