About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a variety of automotive electrics, telematics, and safety systems in a field-based environment. As a Field-Based Telematics Engineer, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical and mechanical items on job sites and in workshops.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel to sites and workshops to install and maintain telematics and safety systems
  • Work with a range of automotive electrics, including earth moving, quarry equipment, HGVs, public transport, buses, and coaches
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest telematics and safety systems technologies
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in working with automotive electrics and telematics systems
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Full driving license and ability to travel to sites and workshops
  • Knowledge of vehicle safety measures and military vehicles an advantage
