Salary: £39,338-£46,962 per annum, dependent on experience

Crooton Ltd is a leading healthcare provider seeking a highly skilled Adult Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. As a clinical expert, you will be responsible for providing specialist mental healthcare to offenders and working closely with the Mental Health Team and wider healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Referral Management: Manage referrals, conduct screening assessments, triage, and deliver evidence-based interventions to offenders.
  2. Care Planning and Risk Assessing: Develop and implement care plans, assess risks, and provide expert advice to the Primary Care team, Substance Misuse team, and Prison staff.
  3. One-to-One and Group-Work Facilitation: Deliver one-to-one and group-work interventions to offenders, including those with severe enduring mental illness, personality difficulties, and neurodevelopmental problems.
  4. Caseload Management: Manage a mixed and challenging caseload, including individuals with learning disabilities, personality disorders, and substance misuse/dual diagnosis.
Requirements
  • NMC Registration: Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Education and Training: Degree supplemented by diploma or specialist training in mental health.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience as an RMN, with extensive clinical experience and supervisory experience of junior staff and students.
